Dear all,
in the Technical Annex, Section 2.6, there is the explaination of the communication channels and sources of information contestants can use to solve tasks.
Specifically, for Subtask 1.2 it says:
• kinect2/* - Image data (depth + rgb) of the Workpiece
but it is supposed that kinect2 is the 3D camera pointing at the human.

So my question is: which are exactly the accessible cameras?

Dear Stefano,

through the topic kinect2 you can access image and depth data for the kinect pointing at the workpiece. Kinect1 points at the worker and is not allowed for this task.
The most relevant topics for t1.2 are:

/kinect2/depth/image_raw -> depth image
/kinect2/rgb/image_raw -> color image
/kinect2/depths/points -> point cloud

(Please let us know where it is stated that kinect2 points at the human. It would be an error and should be fixed)

Now, I have a similar question for Subtask 1.1.
In the same Section 2.6, Technical Annex says:
• kinect2/* - Image data (depth + rgb) of the human

And for Subtask 1.3, it says:
• kinect1/* - Image data (depth + rgb) of the workpiece
• kinect2/* - Image data (depth + rgb) of the human

Therefore, are these conventions both incorrect?
Should we replace kinect1 with kinect2 in both these paragraphs?

Sorry to bother you, but I just want to be sure that we can find the right information to be processed.

Dear Stefano,

you are right - there is an error in the technical annex regarding the camera names.

Please see below which kinect cameras to use for which subtask of task 1:

task 1.1: kinect1
task 1.2: kinect2
task 1.3: kinect1 and kinect2

I will update the technical annex accordingly.
