Task 1 Pose estimation

Hi all,
I've read all the infos about the task 1, but I have a question (sorry if it seems a little bit stupid, but i haven't understood it):
do i estimate the pose using existing ROS packages or i should write code by myself?and if i should write code, do i make a pose estimation algorithm by myself??

You can use whatever helps you solve the task, given the interfaces that we described in the annex. There are some state estimators publicly available - you can use them, modify them where necessary or write your own.
